I would love to say that you have just found the most amazing most awe inspiring most unique website that you have ever encountered in your digital life!
Like I said, I would love to say that but it would absolutely NOT be true. I mean really, Word-press is a GREAT application for the web, but even as customizable as it is, there is a limit.
However, I do believe that I can confidently say that you will have to look long and hard before you will find another sit that is as freely giving an open as this one.
We are here for a few specific reason, starting with promoting, developing and discussing what I feel to be one of the best way to write a book available on the web today.
Please don’t think that I live in some sterile bubble and don’t get out or see what else is out there. When I started writing my first book and got stuck, I looked everywhere I could to try and find some help to get me moving and to answer my questions.
You know what I found? I found that there is a TON of information available for folks who want to write a book. Other than buying a used book from Amazon, on how to write a book (seems rather cyclical to me) the cheapest information I could find was a series of audio presentations that were $197. Now I have no problems paying for good information, and heaven knows I have spent many times that $197 on classes at the University’s and colleges scattered throughout this great land of ours. But when I did that I was guaranteed a certain level and quality of information, and delivery. The world Wide Web is the great untapped resource, where anyone with $25 can put up a website and say just about anything they want. Thats why, since January 2011 the information on this site has been evolving and growing, sometimes at an AMAZING rate. The best part was, that so far its all been free!
A lot of this information will continue to be free. But as most webmeisters say, this is a lot of work, and so I will need some help defraying some of my costs. So beginning in July 2011, probably later than sooner, there will be some changes.
The first and BEST change will be some great organization in reference to the search-ability of the information here. We will have the “Resources” and the “Writing” divisions. In that we will also have “Hardware” and “Software” as well as “Fiction” and “Non-Fiction” Best of all there will also be a separation between promotion and production.
I hope that NONE of this effects your day to day use, but as with all change comes some discomfort, so if there is a change that you just find unbearable, drop me a line and tell me about it. Or if there is something that you saw somewhere else that you REALLY want to see here, let me know I’ll see what I can do. I can tell you that you will also see more Videos and now an entire section of audio. Believe it or not, some of my biggest fans are sight impaired, so were going to do our best to help them out.
So over to the right you’ll see the search box, right now, it is a really big net that tends to catch way too many fish. But as the days go by you should start to see some of these changes and I hope to place a line at the beginning of any post that is hosting one of the larger changes to let you know what’s happening today!
